“She No Longer Loves”
ALEXANDER PAIGE – 2020 La Jolla Studio “She No Longer Loves”
This unique abstract academic portrait transfer painting of Audrey Hepburn depicted twice, in one side she is peaceful & pleasant & in the other she is shattered full of envy, rage & jealousy. This painting was produced with a poster images, acrylic house paint & oil paint as well as a piece of fragmented mirror on top of a previously existing painting. This painting was produced to show the how range emotions inside of us are the real “heaven & hell.” “She No Longer Loves” is a revival of an old style of portrait transfer inspired by Andy Warhola & in the summer of 2020 is one of the first paintings to contain fragments of broken mirrors by Alexander Paige. This painting is produced on a canvas with frame. Alexander Paige identifies how a relationship can change as bliss can turn to scorn which brings about a range of emotions and consequence. “She No Longer Loves” emerged as one of the gems of the collection & is in the possession of the artist in Southern California.
