This image of multiple patients in a forced situation inside of a mental institution is drawn from experience as the artist. The artist depicts the sadness in captivity as well as mental chaos not to mention the maleficent spirit of humanity while the “patient” is portrayed as mentally devastated which was a temporary reaction to setbacks in the artists life. The image is depicted as a modern celebration of form & life. The distinct pencil line quality in quick stylized drawing by Alexander Paige was produced on paper while in complete solitude in 2023.
