ALEXANDER PAIGE – 2022 Color Ink & Pastel Drawing “Runaway Legs”
This uniquely abstract playful drawing of a woman’s legs running away from her amongst a universe of color, is an expression of both simplicity and the personal celebration of freedom of life and expression. The acknowledgment of shape in the image is almost comical with the legs moving away from the body is met with the dichotomy and presence of pure color in an explosion of life. The artist celebrates his own voice and produces the image as an outlet to artist’s subconscious as through personal introspection and consistent self-development and awareness. Alexander Paige expresses his own gratitude for living and the ability to experience sunlight, draw with color, have conversation and a general appreciation for life as a whole.
