ALEXANDER PAIGE – 2020 La Jolla Studio “Red Passion”

This primarily abstract expressive painting containing large, fragmented mirrors was produced with the concept of sexuality as the subject matter depicts a man and a woman engaged in sexual activity.  The vibrant red house paint & loose almost careless approach to the painting is a testament to and dedication to expression through the application of paint onto canvas.  The artist produced “Red Passion” with the sun coming up in September 2020 as this painting was one of twelve paintings going at any given time during a summer where the artist was going through a myriad of emotions.  “Red Passion” is one of the paintings in the 2020 La Jolla collection created as an outlet to having a broken tainted life experience.  Alexander Paige isolated himself in the summer of 2020 in the infamous La Jolla Studio as an outlet to personal pain.  “Red Passion” emerged as one of the gems of the collection & is in the possession of the artist in Southern California.
