ALEXANDER PAIGE – 2001 Portrait Transfer “Princess Grace Kelly”

This painting was produced in 2001 in the artists first studio.  This image of Grace Kelly was applied to canvases using a black and white print out, matte medium, hot water & Brillo to remove the paper with the ink from the image remains existing in the matte medium.  Alexander Paige then did a lite glaze in copal painting medium & linseed oil with house paint.  The surrounding background is a flat acrylic blue & a splatter of acrylic brilliant red paint.  This series of paintings, & this painting in particular were small & produced after looking at paintings from Andy Warhola as an exercise in painting.  This painting is currently held by the family of Alexander Paige.
