ALEXANDER PAIGE – 2020 La Jolla Studio “Outlaw”
This unique abstract academic portrait transfer painting of Clint Eastwood as a vigilantly “Outlaw” depicted holding a Colt 45 handgun was produced with a poster image of Clint Eastwood, acrylic house paint & oil paint. There are actually rocks inside of the paint in “Outlaw” which is a revival of an old style of portrait transfer inspired by Andy Warhola & in the summer of 2020 is one of the first paintings to contain fragments of broken mirrors by Alexander Paige. This painting is produced on a canvas. Alexander Paige tells his own story as an “Outlaw” in this image as the artist isolated himself in the summer of 2020 in the infamous La Jolla Studio dealing with his own inner turmoil. “Outlaw” emerged as one of the gems of the collection & is in the possession of the artist in Southern California.
