ALEXANDER PAIGE – 2001 Painting on Canvas “November Rain”

This early painting by Alexander Paige was produced with an India Ink under drawing and oil paint.  This unique still life painting features the glass fallen over with the liquid pouring out which is inspired from 1990’s music video “November Rain” from world famous rock band Guns & Roses.  The sequence and spacing of the glassware resemble a cityscape the color palette of the image resembles an “Easter” morning palette.  Alexander Paige tells the story of “a beautiful moment can be ruined” & the concept of “heartbreak” which is symbolized through the glass spilling over & liquid pouring out which is metaphorical to what happens to an individual when there is pain loss or deceit, the artist finds himself in production of fine art.
