ALEXANDER PAIGE – 2001 Painting on Paper “Green Collage”

This early painting by Alexander Paige was produced with watercolor & magazine clippings.   This particular painting touches on the “curating your own reality” which is the beginning stages of the artists own imagination which may at one point be considered a mental disorder.  The artist uses his imagination in a positive sense to trick himself into believing that the world cares about him & he is not an isolated lonely, discarded citizen in this world. Alexander Paige tells the story of “choosing the light” & the concept of “everlasting positivity” as life continues and moves forward through trials & personal adversity.
