This unique loose figurative drawing of a woman in a blue dress with linear “wings” on her back is an expression of both simplicity and the personal celebration of freedom of life and beauty. The “jazzlike” loose line quality surrounding the female figure is met with the dichotomy and presence of pure color in an explosion of life. The artist celebrates his own voice portraying the bond between a man and a woman. Alexander Paige expresses his own gratitude for living and the ability to experience sunlight, draw with color, have conversation and a general appreciation for life as a whole.
