ALEXANDER PAIGE – 2022 Color Ink & Pastel Drawing “Mafia Table”
This still life image of a table full of bottles with a lamp is inspired from the movie “Goodfellas” where mafia members play cards around a table and a younger mafia soldier named “Spyder” is shot by Joe Pesci. The simplicity of shape of the objects is met with the dichotomy and presence of pure color in an explosion of life. The artist celebrates his own voice and produces the image as an outlet to artist’s subconscious as through personal introspection and consistent self-development and awareness. Alexander Paige expresses his own gratitude for living and the ability to experience sunlight, draw with color, have conversation and a general appreciation for life as a whole.
