ALEXANDER PAIGE – 2022 Color Ink & Pastel Drawing “Corporate Guest”
This loose and expressive “sketch” drawing of a woman with wings standing in front of multiple “thirsty” corporate men in suits. This image is produced with deliberate and a “matter of fact” technique showing both the simplicity and the personal celebration of freedom of life and joy. The simplicity of the woman with wings is met with the dichotomy and presence of weight of the on-watching men behind her. The artist celebrates his own voice and produces the image as an outlet to artist’s subconscious as through personal introspection and consistent self-development and awareness. Alexander Paige expresses his own gratitude for living and the ability to experience sunlight, draw with color, have conversation and a general appreciation for life as a whole.
