ALEXANDER PAIGE – 2022 Color Ink & Pastel Drawing “Color Candlestick”
This unique still life drawing of a vaselike candlestick holder with a simple teacup is an expression of both simplicity and the personal celebration of freedom of life and beauty. The simplicity of shape of the forms within the still life is met with the dichotomy and presence of pure color in an explosion of life. The artist celebrates his own voice portraying the bond between a man and a woman. Alexander Paige expresses his own gratitude for living and the ability to experience sunlight, draw with color, have conversation and a general appreciation for life as a whole.
