ALEXANDER PAIGE – 2022 Color Ink & Pastel Drawing “Chandelier Girls”
This sexualized drawing of two woman in very little clothing reaching toward each other with only a chandelier between them is an expression of both simplicity and the personal celebration of freedom of life and beauty. The simplicity of shape of the women and the chandelier is met with the dichotomy and presence of pure color in an explosion of life. The artist celebrates his own voice portraying the bond between a man and a woman. Alexander Paige expresses his own gratitude for living and the ability to experience sunlight, draw with color, have conversation and a general appreciation for life as a whole.
