“Bottles in Rehab”
ALEXANDER PAIGE – 2022 Color Ink & Pastel Drawing “Bottles in Rehab”
This simple yet sophisticated watercolor with pastel “still life” drawing of a bottle of alcohol standing on a table is an expression of both simplicity and the personal celebration of freedom of life and beauty. The play on form of the bottles of glassware relative to each other are met with the dichotomy and presence of pure color in an explosion of life. The artist celebrates his own voice portraying the bond between a man and a woman. Alexander Paige expresses his own gratitude for living and the ability to experience sunlight, draw with color, have conversation and a general appreciation for life as a whole.
