ALEXANDER PAIGE – 2022 Color Ink & Pastel Drawing “Big Band”
This unique drawing of a band whaling in the musical moment is a personal celebration of freedom of life and expression. Music and painting are completely intertwined in the concept of becoming the frequency of what you hear and capturing that feeling on canvas or in this case paper. The form of the members of the band and their instruments is met with the dichotomy and presence of pure color in an explosion of life. The artist celebrates his own voice and produces the image as an outlet to artist’s subconscious as through personal introspection and consistent self-development and awareness. Alexander Paige expresses his own gratitude for living and the ability to experience sunlight, draw with color, have conversation and a general appreciation for life as a whole.
