This fast of a polo player on a horse painting on paper was produces with acrylic paint out of the tube. More importantly than the painting itself which is clearly an attempt at action abstract academic painting, Alexander Paige painted this particular paper painting while in a psych ward of a hospital after being stabbed in the lungs. Exact information regarding this traumatic experience is referenced in detail in a chapter called OB Stabbing in the artist’s autobiographical memoir “Moments & Experiences” Alexander Paige chooses to channel & re-direct pain into passion, which is evident in a small paper painting “Polo.”
