This “pin up” style color drawing of a nude woman on her knees is a figure drawing conceptually of the artists former lover Lisa Danielle. The image is an expression of both simplicity and the personal celebration of freedom of life and beauty. The simplicity of shape of the female “curves” is met with the dichotomy and presence of pure color in an explosion of life. The artist celebrates his own voice portraying the bond between a man and a woman. Alexander Paige expresses his own gratitude for living and the ability to experience sunlight, draw with color, have conversation and a general appreciation for life as a whole.
