ALEXANDER PAIGE – 2001 Portrait Transfer “Sophia Loren Red”
This small pop expressive painting on canvas features the gorgeous model actress Sophia Loren in a closeup. The portrait of Loren is transferred with matte medium, which is touched with a light color oil glaze & splashed with acrylic paint against a flat acrylic red. This series of paintings, & this painting in particular were small & produced after looking at paintings from Andy Warhola as an exercise in painting. This painting is currently held by the family of Alexander Paige.
